Kanisa Katoliki la Kimelkiti (kwa Kiarabu: كنيسة الروم الملكيين الكاثوليك, Kanīsat ar-Rūm al-Malakiyyīn al-Kāṯūlīk) ni mojawapo kati ya madhehebu ya Kanisa Katoliki yanayoongozwa na Patriarki wake akisaidiwa na sinodi yake na akiwa na ushirika kamili na Papa wa Roma tangu mwaka 1729.
Makao makuu yako Damasko, Siria, lakini Patriarki anatumia jina la Antiokia na mashariki yote, Aleksandria na Yerusalemu.
Kwa sasa (tangu tarehe 21 Juni 2017) Patriarki ni Youssef Absi, S.M.S.P., anayetokea Damasko.
Kwa asili waamini wake wengi (milioni 1.6) wanazungumza Kiarabu, lugha rasmi ya Kanisa hilo, ingawa hasa siku hizi wana mchanganyiko mkubwa wa damu.
Asili ya jina
Melkiti ni neno linalotokana na malkā, yaani mfalme kwa Kiaramu, na awali lilimaanisha Wakristo wa Mashariki ya Kati waliokubali maamuzi ya Mtaguso wa Kalsedonia (451) uliokuwa unaungwa mkono na kaisari wa Konstantinopoli.[1] Jina hilo linaendelea kutumiwa na Wakatoliki tu.
Pamoja na kwamba kwa asili Wakristo hao walikuwa wanafuata mapokeo ya Antiokia, au pengine wa Aleksandria au wa Yerusalemu, walikuja kupokea liturujia ya Ugiriki kama Waorthodoksi wengine, wakati waliokataa mtaguso huo waliendelea na liturujia zao.[2]
