Kni̇̀šinas [1] (lenk. Knyszyn) – miestas Lenkijos šiaurės rytuose, Knišino valsčiuje, Monkų apskrityje, Palenkės vaivadijoje. Miestas yra maždaug už 16 km į šiaurės vakarus nuo vaivadijos centro Balstogės. Per miestą eina vaivadijos kelias Nr. DW671.

Nuo VIII a. pr. m. e. iki XIX a. šiose vietovėse gyveno lietuviams artima baltų gentis – jotvingiai. Nuo XIII-XIV a. iki 1569 m. kaimas priklausė Lietuvos Didžiajai Kunigaikštystei. Gyvenvietė iš pradžių priklausė LDK maršalkai Mykolui Glinskiui. Vėliau šios žemės iš jo buvo atimtos ir jas 1507 m. perėmė LDK kancleriui Mikalojui Radvilai II. 1520 m. įkurta Knišino Šv. Jono Krikštytojo ir Evangelistų parapija. 1560 m. karalių rūmuose buvo įrengtos arklidės, kuriose galėjo tilpti apie 3000 arklių, tarp kurių buvo laikomi ir arabų arkliai. 1568 m. gyvenvietė gavo miesto teises iš karaliaus Žygimanto Augusto. Šio karaliaus valdymo laikai vadinami miesto aukso amžiumi, nes tuo laikotarpiu buvo pastatyta rotušė, turgus, pirtys, grįstos gatvės ir kiti įvairūs pastatai. Šis karalaius 1533-1572 m. mieste lankėsi 19 kartų. Vieną kartą praleidęs šiame mieste net 500 dienų. 1572 m. liepos 7 d. Knišino karalių rūmuose mirė ATR valdoves Žygimantas Augustas. XVIII a. pastatyta pirmoji Knišino miesto sinagoga. Apie 1750 m. įkurtos Knišino miesto žydų kapinės.
XIX a. buvo miestelis Balstogės apskrityje.[2] 1895 m. atidaryta Knišino miesto geležinkelio stotis. 1898-1900 m. pastatyta Knišino Oracho Chaimo sinagoga. XX a. pradžioje pastatyta Knišino Beisos Jašuro sinagoga. 1981 m. pradėtas naudoti Knišino miesto herbas.
