Mèlnikas[1] (lenk. Mielnik) – kaimas Lenkijos šiaurės rytuose, 17 km į pietryčius nuo Semiatyčių ir 88 km į pietus nuo vaivadijos centro Balstogės. Šalia kaimo teka Vakarinio Bugo upė. Kaime įsikūrusi Melniko Mergelės Marijos Gimimo parapija.

Nuo V a. pr. m. e. iki X a. šiose vietovėse gyveno lietuviams artima baltų gentis jotvingiai.[2][3] Nuo XIII a.-XIV a. iki 1513 m. priklausė LDK Trakų vaivadijai, nuo 1513 m. iki 1569 m. Liublino unijos Palenkės vaivadijai. 1323–1324 m. šias vietoves prie LDK prijungė kunigaikštis Gediminas. Lietuvos pilietinio karo metu 1382 m., kai kunigaikščiai Kęstutis ir Jogaila kovojo dėl valdžios, Mazovijos kunigaikštis Janušas I Senasis užėmė šią gyvenvietę. 1383 m. Ldk Jogaila gyvenvietę atsiemė. 1420 m. Ldk Vytautas Didysis finansavo pirmosios Šv. Kristaus Kūno bažnyčios statybas ir įkūrė Melniko Viešpaties Atsimainymo parapiją. 1430–1444 m. gyvenvietė priklausė Boleslavui IV Varšuviečiui. 1440 m. rugsėjo 22 d. Melnikui suteikta Kulmo teisė. 1444 m. miestą nusipirko Kazimieras Jogailaitis.
1501 m. spalio 3 d. mieste pasirašytas Melniko aktas ir spalio 25 d. patvirtinta Melniko privilegija. 1501 m. spalio 27 d. miestui suteikta Magdeburgo teisė. 1569–1795 m. buvo Abiejų Tautų Respublikos Mažosios Lenkijos provincijos Palenkės vaivadijos valdose.[4][5] 1580 m. mieste gyveno 1500 gyventojų. Švedų tvano metu miestas neteko 68 % gyventojų, daugelis pastatų sudegė ir liko tik apie 450 gyventojų.
1795–1807 m. priklausė Prūsijos karalystės Naujosios Rytų Prūsijos Balstogės departamentui, 1807–1842 m. priklausė Rusijos imperijos, Balstogės sričiai, 1842–1914 m. Gardino gubernijai. XIX a. įkurtos Melniko žydų kapinės. 1825 m. pastatyta Melniko Mergelės Marijos Gimimo cerkvė. XIX a. miestelis buvo Bielsko apskrityje,[6] priklausė Aleksandruvkos valsčiui.[7]
1914–1919 m. priklausė Vokietijos imperijos Oberosto sričiai, 1919–1939 m. priklausė Lenkijos tarpukario Balstogės vaivadijai. 1934 m. Melnikas neteko miesto teisių ir buvo prijungtas prie Radziviluvkos valsčiaus,[8] tačiau netrukus buvo įkurtas atskiras Melniko valsčius. 1939–1941 m. priklausė Tarybų Sąjungos, Baltarusijos TSR, Bresto srities Semiatyčių rajonui. 1941–1944 m. priklausė Trečiojo reicho, Balstogės sričiai.
Nuo 1945 m. priklauso Lenkijai. 1945–1999 m. priklausė Balstogės vaivadijai.
