Itä-Darfur (arab. ولاية شرق دارفور, Šarq Dārfūr) on yksi Sudanin 18 osavaltiosta ja osa laajempaa Darfurin historiallista aluetta. Sen hallintokeskus on Ad-Du'ayn. Osavaltion pinta-ala on 55 000 neliökilometriä, ja väkiluvun arvioitiin vuonna 2018 olevan noin 1 587 200 henkeä.[2] Asukkaista 16 prosenttia on paimentolaisia, ja 40 prosenttia harjoittaa maataloutta.[3]
Itä-Darfur erotettiin suuremmasta Etelä-Darfurin osavaltiosta tammikuussa 2012. Alueella elää useita eri etnisiä ryhmiä, joista suurimmat ovat rizeigatit (baggarat), ma’aliyyat ja dajut sekä afrikkalaisperäiset birgedit ja beigot. Ilmasto on trooppinen ja kasvillisuus on pääosin savannia. Touko-kesäkuussa ominaista on korkea lämpötila (joskus jopa yli 40 °C); sadekausi kestää heinäkuusta lokakuun loppuun. Sadekauden ulkopuolella vesi on paljolti pohjavetenä. Tärkeimpiä viljelyskasveja ovat muun muassa maapähkinät, hirssi, durra, arabikumi ja seesami.[3]
