Акмяне (літ.: Akmenė, традыцыйная беларуская назва — Акмя́ны) — горад у Акмянскім раёне Шаўляйскага павета Літвы, на рацэ Дабікінэ. Насельніцтва 2602 чал. (2010).

Знаходзіцца на поўначы краіны, за 7,5 км ад чыгуначнай станцыі Акмяне (на лініі Шаўляй — Мажэйкей). Згодна з сучаснай афіцыйнай літоўскай класіфікацыяй горад належыць да этнаграфічнага рэгіёна Жамойць.
Першы пісьмовы ўспамін пра Акмяны датуецца 1511 годам, вядомыя як двор жамойцкага старосты Станіслава Кезгайлы[2]. Адносіліся да жамойцкага павета Вялікія Дырвяны.
14 верасня 1531 года вялікі князь Жыгімонт Стары даў дырвянскаму цівуну Яну Станкевічу-Білевічу прывілей на заснаванне ў Акмянах мястэчка з правам праводзіць таргі і трымаць корчмы.
У 1596 годзе каралева Ганна Ягелонка заснавала ў Акмянах драўляны касцёл са школай. Да 1717 года з’яўляліся цэнтрам нягродавага староства.
13 чэрвеня 1792 года атрымалі магдэбургскае права. У выніку трэцяга падзелу Рэчы Паспалітай (1795) апынуліся ў складзе Расійскай імперыі[2].
У найноўшай гісторыі Акмяне атрымала вядомасць пасля таго, як тут выявілі вялікія радовішчы вапняку і гліны. У 1947 годзе ў Акмяне пачалося будаўніцтва найбуйнешага цэментавага комплексу ў прыбалтыйскіх рэспубліках СССР.
У 1950—1962 гадах цэнтр Акмянскага раёна (пазней цэнтр быў перанесены ў Наўёйі Акмяне).
