Østre torg er et torg i Hamar by. Det markerer starten på gågata, som går fra Østre torg til Hamar kulturhus ved Stortorget. Torget finnes på kart fra 1848, før Hamar fikk bystatus.

I starten ble torget mye brukt til fritidsaktiviteter, som lekene kara holoball og kaste på stikka, og diverse idrettsaktiviteter.[1] Fra 1881 til 1896 var det en årlig hesteutstilling på torget, noe som ga det tilnavnet «hestetorvet». I 1909 ble torget stengt for trafikk etter forslag fra Stemmerettsforeningen, som ville at barna skulle kunne bruke torget som lekeplass mellom klokka 8 og klokka 20, mot store protester fra byens gårdeiere.[2] Senere fungerte det som rutebilstasjon.[3]
I 1988-89 ble det bygget parkeringshus under torget, og den omstridte bygningen som bare kalles «ubåten» ble oppført.[4]
Hamar postkontor lå tidligere på Østre torg helt siden 1885 til 2021 da ble det lagt ned.
