Vestkapp, eller Kjerringa, er et fjell på den nordvestligste delen av halvøya Stad i Stad kommune i Nordfjord i Vestland. Kjerringa ruver 497 meter over Stadhavet og regnes som det vestligste fjellplatået i Norge.
Navnet «Vestkapp» om utsiktspunktet på Kjerringa ble skapt av turistnæringa på 1980-tallet.
Området er kjent for skiftende vær, fra speilblankt hav til storm og orkan. I løpet av kort tid kan tåke legge seg over Kjerringa og Vestkapp. Sjøveien rundt Stad og Vestkapp er beryktet for sine strømmer og raskt skiftende vær. Mange skip har endt sin seilas i disse farvannene, som omtales som et av de mest værharde områdene i Norge.[2]
[3] På de få kilometerne fra Sildegapet i sør til Ervika i nord er det lokalisert 58 skipsvrak.[4]
Vestkapp er et turistmål med flat vidde, bratte skrenter og panoramautsikt i alle himmelretninger, blant annet til Sunnmørsalpene i nord og med Ålfotbreen og Hornelen i sør. En kan også se havørn og beitende sauer. Det er smal bilvei helt til toppen. Vestkapphuset med kafé, suvenirbutikk og utsikt over Stadhavet ble kjøpt i 2002 av familien Kvernervik og drevet som familiebedrift for besøkende i sommerhalvåret inntil sesongen 2011.
På Vestkapp står også Radar Stad, en av Meteorologisk institutts værradarer.[5] Den ble ferdig i oktober 2009 og er reist som en stor, hvit kule på et tårn av naturstein fra Selje kommune.[6]
Å gå på fjelltur på Stadhalvøya sies å være en spesiell opplevelse fordi man har utsyn mot storhavet samtidig som man er høyt til fjells.
Vardetangen i Austrheim i Hordaland, ved Mongstad, regnes som Norges vestligste fastlandspunkt.
