Frostviken er et sogn og en tidligere kommune i Jämtlands län i Sverige. Sognet er en del av Strömsund kommune. Frostviken dekker et areal på 4 213,70 km², hvorav 3 789,95 km² er land.[1] I 2000 hadde Frostviken 1 156 innbyggere.[2] Frostviken er det nordligste sognet i Jämtland, og ligger ved de store innsjøene i øvre Faxälven. Fjellhøydene i Sipmeke i nord når opptil 1 424 meter over havet.[1]
Sognets viktigste bebyggelse er kirkestedet Gäddede med rundt 500 innbyggere. Frostviken er en del av det sørsamiske kulturområdet.[3] Den første fastboende i området kom fra Nordli i Norge til nåværende Frostviksbränna på midten av 1700-tallet. Grensetraktaten av 1751 gjorde at området ble underlagt Sverige istedenfor Norge, men den formelle grensejusteringen ble ikke foretatt før i årene 1758–1760. I Frostviken taler man fremdeles en trøndersk dialekt.
Før 1746 inngikk området i Ström sogn. Som sogn ble Frostviken utskilt fra Föllinge i 1842, og fra 1862 utgjorde Frostviken sogn en egen landkommune. I 1863 ble Granön og Rotnäset overført til Tåsjö sogn i Västernorrlands län. I 1971 ble skillet mellom landkommuner og bykommuner opphevet. Frostviken kommune ble i 1974 innlemmet i Strömsund kommune.[4]
Sognet har sitt navn etter en frostutsatt vik i den vestre delen av Kvarnbergsvattnet ved riksgrensen.[5]
