കനേഡിയൻ പത്രത്തിന്റെ പത്രാധിപരും കേരളം സന്ദർശിച്ചു വിവരണം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയ ആധുനിക സഞ്ചാരികളിൽ പ്രമുഖനുമാണ്‌ ജോർജ്ജ് വുഡ്കോക്ക്(മേയ് 8, 1912 – ജനുവരി 28, 1995). കനേഡിയൻ ലിറ്ററേച്ചർ എന്ന ആനുകാലിക പ്രസിദ്ധീകരണത്തിന്റെ പത്രാധിപരായിരുന്നു. 1962-ലും 1965-ലും അദ്ദേഹം പത്നിയോടൊപ്പം കേരളം സന്ദർശിച്ചു. തന്റെ വിലയേറിയ പഠനങ്ങൾ കേരള, എ പോർട്ട്രെയ്റ്റ് ഓഫ് ദി മലബാർ കോസ്റ്റ് (Kerala, a Portrait of the Malabar Cost) എന്ന പേരിൽ അദ്ദേഹം പ്രസിദ്ധപ്പെടുത്തി
