മിരിസ്റ്റിക് ആസിഡ് (ഐയുപിഎസി വ്യവസ്ഥാപിത നാമം: 1-ടെട്രഡെകനോയിക് ആസിഡ്) CH3(CH2)12COOH തന്മാത്ര സമവാക്യം ഉള്ള ഒരു സാധാരണ പൂരിത ഫാറ്റി ആസിഡാണ്. അതിന്റെ എസ്റ്ററുകളെയും, ലവണങ്ങളെയും സാധാരണയായി 'മിരിസ്റ്റേറ്റ്സ് എന്ന് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. ഈ ആസിഡിൻറെ പേരിനോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് ജാതിക്കയുടെ ശാസ്ത്രീയ നാമം മിരിസ്റ്റിക ഫ്രാഗ്രാൻസ് എന്നു നൽകിയിരിക്കുന്നു. 1841 ൽ ലിയോൺ പ്ലേഫെയറാണ് ആദ്യമായി ജാതിക്കയിൽ നിന്നും ഈ ആസിഡ് വേർതിരിച്ചെടുത്തത്.[11]
