കാപ്രിക്ക് ആസിഡ് (C10: 0) അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ഡികനോയിക് ആസിഡ് എന്നും അറിയപ്പെടുന്ന ഡിസൈലിക് ആസിഡ് ഒരു പൂരിത ഫാറ്റി ആസിഡാണ്. ഇതിന്റെ ഫോർമുല CH3(CH2)8COOH ആണ്. ഡികനോയിക് ആസിഡിലെ ലവണങ്ങളെയും, എസ്റ്ററുകളെയും ഡെകനോയേറ്റ്സ് അഥവാ കാപ്രേറ്റ്സ് എന്നു വിളിക്കുന്നു. കാപ്രിക് ആസിഡ് എന്ന പദം ലാറ്റിൻ "കാപെർ / ക്യാപ്റാ" (ആട്) നിന്നാണ് വന്നത്. കാരണം ഇതിൻറെ സംയുക്തത്തിൻറെ അസുഖകരമായ ഗന്ധം കോലാടുകളെ ഓർമ്മപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതാണ്.[7]
