SIM karte (angļu: Subscriber Identity Module) ir viedkarte, ko parasti izmanto GSM mobilo (vai citu mobilo) telefonu operatori, pakalpojumu sniedzēji, kas ir unikāli identificēta.
Tas ļauj pakalpojuma sniedzējam atpazīt pakalpojuma lietotāju un piegādāt tam nepieciešamos pakalpojumus.
SIM karte tiek kodēta un aizsargāta ar vairākām atslēgām. Parasti: PIN1, PIN2, PUK1, PUK2. Katra koda kļūdaina pēc kārtas ievadīšana ir limitēta.
Ievadot kļūdainus kodus pieejai SIM kartes informācijai vairāk reizes, nekā kartē ir atļauti mēģinājumi, tā tiek bloķēta.
SIM karte sastāv ne tikai no datiem, bet faktiski ir minidators, kas salīdzinoši labi aizsargāts.
SIM kartes gadu gaitā kļuvušas mazākas, funkcionalitāte ir neatkarīga no formāta. Pilna izmēra SIM kartēm sekoja mini-SIM, micro-SIM un nano-SIM. Tiek izgatavotas arī iekārtās iemontētas SIM kartes.

2015. gada jūlijā Apple un Samsung paziņoja par notiekošām pārrunām ar telekomunikāciju kompāniju asociāciju GSMA par iegulto SIM karšu ieviešanu.[1]
Tradicionālās SIM kartes ir piesaistītas vienam sakaru pakalpojumu sniedzējam, un to nomainīt, nemainot arī SIM karti, šobrīd nav iespējams.[1]
