Renminbi (Mandarinice simpliciter 人民币, traditionaliter 人民幣, pinyin rénmínbì 'moneta hominum'),[1] breviter RMB, est legitima Sinarum moneta atque una ex reservatis orbis terrarum monetis maximi momenti. Yuan (simpliciter et traditionaliiter 元, pinyin yuán) est fundamentalis renminbi unitas, sed etiam monetam Sinican generaliter attingit, praecipue in rebus internationalibus, ubi locutio yuan Sinicum saepe renminbi significat. Renminbi est nomen monetae, et yuan est eius primaria unitas. Unum yuan in decem jiao (traditionaliter 角, pinyin jiǎo) dividitur, et jiao vicissim in decem fen (traditionaliter 分, pinyin fēn) dividitur. Renminbi ab Argentaria Populari Sinarum, monetali Sinarum auctoritate, dispensatur.[2]
