Malea[1] (Graece: Μαλέα, Neograece: ακρωτήριο Μαλέας) est promuntorium Graeciae et extremitas Peloponnesi austro-orientalis. Cythera insula ad meridiem a Malea sita est et Elaphonesos ad occidentem.
Etiam ab Homero memoratur[2]; nam Ulixes narrat a tempestate naves eius prope Maleam raptas esse et novem dies erravisse. Strabo quoque dicit ut a vento septentrionali mare iuxta Maleam assidue vexaretur et proverbium Graecum citat Μαλέας δὲ κάμψας ἐπιλάθου τῶν οἴκαδε, Malea circumventa familiarium obliviscaris[3]. Pharus anno 1883 in promunturio constructus est.
