Elaphonesos, Neograece Ελαφόνησος, est insula parva Laconiae in Graecia, iuxta paeninsulam Maleam ad meridiem versus iacens et a Cythera chiliometris fere 6 distans. Ibi habitant homines circiter 350. Mensibus aestivis peregrini multi litora amoenissima Elaphonesi petunt. Aevo classico hic locus non insula fuit sed promunturium, nomine Onugnathos (Graece Ὄνου γνάθος) scil. "asini maxilla",[1] cum terra Laconia iunctum.
