Demetrius Cydones vel litteris Graecis Δημήτριος Κυδώνης (Thessalonicae natus anno 1324; mortuus in insula Creta 1398) fuit eruditus et politicus Byzantinus qui ter mesazon seu primus minister meruit: 1347-1354, imperatore Ioanne VI Cantacuzeno; 1369-1383, imperatore Ioanne V Palaeologo; 1391-1396, imperatore Manuele II Ioannis filio. Exstant epistulae quas Manuel imperator Demetrio misit.
