Caricetum (-i n.)[1] est certum ulīginis turfaceae[2] genus, plerumque plantae genris Caricis praeditum. Usitatum uliginum turfaceorum dissimile, solum neutrum aut alkalinum habet. Phasis in evolutione naturalis successionis e lacu versus boscum[3] esse potest, et, si turfa evolvitur et superficies effertur, versus veram et ipsam uliginem turfaceam.
Aqua in cariceto crebro ex subterraneis fontibus aut ex aquarum cursibus oritur cum pH satis elevata. Cum aqua originem a pluviā trahit aut cum pH inferiori, turbaria crebro in locum cariceti reponitur.
