Antony and Cleopatra est tragoedia a Gulielmi Shakesperio inter annos fere 1603 et 1607 composita sed primum in editione in folio (titulo Mr. William Shakespeares Comedies, Histories & Tragedies) anni 1623 edita. Fons historicus principalis huius tragoediae fuit "vita Marci Antonii" a Plutarcho scripta, quam Shakesperius in versione Thomassi North perlegit.

Marcus Antonius, triumvir Romae cum Augusto Octaviano Caesare et Marco Aemilio Lepido, officia militis neglexit postquam Regina Aegypti eum seduxit. Romae quaestiones ignoravit, inter eas quod mulier secessisset in Octavium et necata fuisset. Octavius reclamat Antonium Romae ab Alexandria ut auxilium ferat in proelio contra Sextum Pompeium, Menecratem et Menam, tres notos piratas. Cleopatra petit ab Antonio ut secum maneat sed is, quamquam amorem reginae affirmet, tamen proficiscitur. .. Finaliter sibi mortem conscivit amorem suam et elementa alchemica credens.
