Agathon tragicus poeta (natus Athenis c. 445 a.C.n., in Macedonia c. 400 mortuus[1]), mollitie infamis fuit. Ab alio comicus perhibetur Socratis discipulus, moribus egregius et vita lautus. Symposium Platonis in eius domo agitur, multis eodem philosophis congregatis. Сontulit se ad Archelaum Macedoniae regem.
Poeta comicus Atheniensis Aristophanes Agathonem in comoediam Thesmophoriazusae (411 a.C.n.) inscriptam induxit atque mores eius effeminatos irrisit.
