Santa María de Oímbra é unha parroquia do concello de Oímbra, na comarca de Verín, provincia de Ourense. Segundo o IGE en 2009 tiña 631 habitantes (322 homes e 309 mulleres), distribuídos en 2 entidades de poboación, o que supón unha diminución en relación ao ano 1999 cando tiña 682 habitantes. Limita cos concellos de Verín e Monterrei e con Portugal.

Até 1868 pertenceu a Oímbra a parte galega de Cambedo, lugar que era considerado un dos tres pobos promiscuos por estar situado na mesma fronteira, entre Galiza e Portugal. Ese ano, coa entrada en vigor do Tratado de Lisboa de 1864, a parte galega foi anexada a Portugal, á freguesía de Vilarelho da Raia.[2][3] Eclesiasticamente seguiu a pertencer á freguesía e por tanto á diocese de Ourense. Así, en 1914 dependían do párroco de Oímbra unhas 20 familias portuguesas. Porén, coa entrada de Portugal en 1910 nun novo réxime e as crecentes dificultades dos párrocos para cruzar a fronteira, Cambedo acabou sendo incorporado tamén á arquidiocese de Braga o 27 de novembro de 1914.[4]
É coñecida a súa agricultura polos produtos da horta (de xeito especial o pemento de Oímbra) e o viño acollido á denominación de Orixe Monterrei.
Ten un fondo arraigo o entroido que se celebra de forma enxebre con costumes propios (formigas, percorrido polas adegas e os coñecidos fachucos de palla). As festas patronais celébranse na honra de Santa Ana (26 de xullo)
