luo
luo (uncountable, accusative luon)
For quotations using this term, see Citations:luo.
luo- + -(k) (k-lative singular), from Proto-Finnic *loo-, possibly from Proto-Uralic *luwe (“downstream”). Related to Ingrian looks (~ luokse), Karelian luoh (~ luo) and Veps lon (~ luona).
luo [with genitive]
luo cannot take a possessive suffix; luokse is used instead if possessive forms are desired.
