Compare дря́бнуть (drjábnutʹ, “to become flabby”), дрябь f (drjabʹ, “flabbiness”), from Proto-Slavic *dręb-. Per Vasmer, quoting Mikloshich, related to Lithuanian drìbti (“to trickle, to drip with thick drops”) (1sg. drimbù), drabnùs (“fat”), dramblỹs (“thick-chested; elephant”). Apparently also related to Ancient Greek θρόμβος (thrómbos, “clot”), θρομβεῖον (thrombeîon, “lump”).
