Die FIA-Rallye-Weltmeisterschaft 1987 wurde am 17. Januar in Monte Carlo gestartet und endete am 25. November in Großbritannien. Insgesamt wurden 13 Weltmeisterschaftsläufe auf vier Kontinenten gefahren. Der Finne Juha Kankkunen gewann zum zweiten Mal in Folge den Weltmeistertitel.
