N-terminalna polovina CROP-a sadrži motive cistein/histidina i leucinska ponavljanja poput patentnih zatvarača, a C-terminalna polovina bogata je arginininskim i glutamatnim ostacima (RE domen) i argininskim i serinskim ostacima (RS domen).
