大紫胸鸚鵡（學名Psittacula derbiana）又稱大緋胸鸚鵡、四川鸚鵡、大鸚哥，黃色虹膜，灰色腳。頭、胸紫藍灰色，長有黑色髭紋。雄鳥眼部周圍及額頭呈淡綠色，上嘴紅色，下嘴黑色。雌鳥嘴全黑，前頂冠無藍色。中央尾羽為藍色。叫聲為音高而調尖，類似哨音。體長50厘米，食物以堅果、漿果、玉米、稻穀等為主。3歲後可以繁殖，繁殖期為每年6、7月份。每窩產卵3～6枚，孵化期23日左右，羽化期8到9周。
