自1997年多次间断地入选日本女排，并先后在2004年雅典奥运会及2008年北京奥运会参赛。
大村目前是久光制药Springs女排队的旗下选手。2008年4月，因在V-Legaue的生涯参赛场数超过240场以上，而获得了V-Legaue长期活跃选手特别荣誉奖。
