Valery Dmitrievitch Bolotov (Russian: Валерий Дмитриевич Болотов, Ukrainian: Вале́рій Дми́трович Бо́лотов; 13 February 1970 – 27 January 2017) was a Ukrainian pro-Russian militant leader. He was known for his actions in the Donbas War in eastern Ukraine. He served as the leader of the unrecognised state Luhansk People's Republic from May to August 2014. He was born in Taganrog, Rostov Oblast.
Bolotov died on 27 January 2017 in Moscow Oblast at the age of 46.[1]
