Øyvind Anker (1904–89) var en norsk bibliotekar og teaterhistoriker som skrev flere bøker.[3]

Han var født i Frankfurt, sønn av kunstner og pianist Gudrun Nilssen (1875–1958) og Nils Botvid Anker (1878–1943).[4] Faren var strømansvarlig for Oppland fylke og familien bodde på Lillehammer. Øyvind og lillesøsteren Synnøve Anker Aurdal (1908–2000) var gitt navn etter En glad gut fra 1860 og Synnøve Solbakken fra 1857 av Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson, og utga i 1982 ei bok om kona.
Efter examen artium 1923 og Krigsskolen var han huslærer i Østerdalen[5] før han ved Universitetet i Oslo mottok cand.philol. i 1931 i norsk. Fra 1929 til pensjonering i 1974 jobbet han ved Universitetsbiblioteket i Oslo. Fra 1933 var han gift med pianist Eva Høst (1908–68), niese av franskfilolog Sigurd Høst.
Anker ledet det nye Bjørnson-arkivet fra 1934.[4] Han etterfulgte Fartein Valen som leder for Norsk Musikksamling i 1936 og bestyrtet det til 20. august 1943 da han ble arrestert av tyskerne for motstandsarbeid. I 1956 etablerte han Teaterhistorisk samling, og han foreleste i teaterhistorie 1958–64. Efter å ha tilhørt Informasjonsavdelingen 1967–70 var han ved spesialenheten frem til 1974. I 1965 fikk han bli med i Det Norske Videnskaps-Akademi.[5]
Anker var sentral redaktør og skribent for Norsk biografisk leksikon. I 1935 satt han som redaktor av Nycoleksikonet, i 1939 Cappelen sitt leksikon, med Olav Gurvin (1893–1974) forfattet han musikkleksikon utgitt 1949.
