Grete Horntvedt (født 3. oktober 1944 på Hamar) er en norsk politiker som representerer Høyre. Hun var byråd for næring og byutvikling i Oslo i periodene 1999-2000 og 2003-2006, samt byråd for kultur og utdanning 1997-1999. Hun ble i 2006 direktør for stiftelsen Norsk Kulturarv.[1]

Horntvedt er utdannet allmennlærer og har dessuten hovedfag i sosialpedagogikk. Hun har jobbet som lærer og sosiallærer, og senere vært blant annet leder i Oslo skolestyre og utdanningsdirektør i Oslo/Akershus.
Horntvedt ble valgt inn i Hamar kommunestyre i 1976, og i 1980 i Hedmark fylkesting. I perioden 1978-81 var hun leder i Hamar Høyre, og i 1980-82 nestleder i Hedmark Høyre. I 1986-87 var Horntvedt leder i Hellerud Høyre, og dessuten leder i bydelsutvalg 15 Hellerud. Hun ble med i Oslo Høyres hovedstyre i 1987, og ble første nestleder i Oslo Høyre fra 1992.
I 1988 kom Horntvedt først inn i Oslo bystyre, og hun fikk fast plass fra 1992. Hun har senere sittet i bystyret fra 1996 til 1997 og 2001 til 2003.
I 2019 ble hun valgt til leder i Oslo Senior Høyre og 1. nestleder (politisk nestleder) i Senior Høyres Landsforbund.[trenger referanse]
I 2019 deltok hun i realityserien Den ultimate agent på NRK.[2][3]
I 2006 valgte hun å trekke seg fra stillingen som byråd for næring og byutvikling sammen med styrelederen i Undervisningsbygg; Signe Horn, etter at Frank Murud-saken ble kjent over hele media.[4]
