Elementaitasjøen eller Elmenteitasjøen er en svært grunn endorheisk sodasjø som ligger i Riftdalen, cirka 120 km nordvest for hovedstaden Nairobi i Kenya. Innsjøen er beskyttet i henhold til Ramsar-konvensjonen (2005) og står på verdensarvlisten, sammen med Nakurusjøen og Bogoriasjøen.[2]

Elementaitasjøen var tidligere et svært betydningsfullt hekkeområde for både dvergflamingo og rosenflamingo. På et tidspunkt ble mer enn 400 fuglearter registrert i Nakuru/Elementaita basinen. I 1962 ble imidlertid ciklider (Tilapia) tilført innsjøen fra Magadisjøen, og siden da har bestandene med flamingoer blitt stadig mer og mer redusert. Fisken førte nemlig til at fiskespisende fugler etablerte seg der, og de tar også egg og kyllinger. Det har ført til at mer enn en million flamingoer har forsvunnet fra området og søkt tilflukt ved Natronsjøen i Tanzania i stedet for.
