Betty Marion White (født 17. januar 1922 i Oak Park i Illionis, død 31. desember 2021 i Brentwood, Los Angeles) var en amerikansk skuespiller, komiker, programleder, sanger, forfatter og TV-personlighet. Hun spilte Sue Ann Nivens i The Mary Tyler Moore Show og Rose Nylund i TV-sitcom Pantertanter.[8] Hun spilte Elka Ostrovsky i TV Land-komedien Hot in Cleveland.[8]

Hun mottok sju Emmy-priser i løpet av sin karriere. I 1983 ble hun første kvinne til å vinne en daytime Emmy for fremragende ledelse av et gameshow, med «Just men!». White har også rekorden for lengste tid mellom Emmy-nomineringer — hennes første var i 1951 og siste i 2012, et spenn på 61 år — og den eldste nominerte i en alder av 91 år. Hun er også den eldste vinner av en Grammy-pris som hun fikk i 2012.
I 2011 ledet White et nytt program, Betty White's Off Their Rockers. I programmet spøker eldre med den yngre generasjon.[8] Et spesialprogram, Betty White's 90th Birthday Party ble sendt på NBC dagen før hennes fødselsdag, 16. januar 2012. I dette showet opptrådte mange av stjernene som White har samarbeidet med i årenes løp.[8]
Hun ble født i Oak Park i Illinois. Hun var av engelsk, gresk og dansk avstamning.[8][8][8] Hun var eneste barn av Horace White og Tess White.[9] Whites familie flyttet til Los Angeles, California i nødsårene på 1930-tallet.[8][10] Hun gikk på Horace Mann School Beverly Hills og på Beverly Hills High School.
I 1945 giftet White seg med Dick Barker, en pilot i det amerikanske flyvåpenet. Ekteskapet ble kortvarig. I 1947 giftet hun seg på nytt, da med Lane Allen, en Hollywood-agent. Ekteskapet endte med skilsmisse i 1949.
I juni 1963 giftet White seg med fjernsynskonferansier Allen Ludden. De møttes under showet Password i 1961 hvor hun var invitert som en celeber gjest.[8]
Allen Ludden døde av magekreft[11][12] 9. juni 1981 i Los Angeles.[8] De hadde ingen barn sammen, men hun var stemor til tre barn fra hans første ekteskap. White giftet seg ikke på nytt etter Luddens død.
White var praktiserende medlem av Unity Church.[8] Hun var registrert demokrat[8] og støttet Barack Obama ved valget i 2012 («likes how he represents us»).[8]
White ble innvalgt i Television Hall of Fame i 1995. Hun har en stjerne i Hollywood Walk of Fame ved siden av sin avdøde ektemann, Allen Ludden.
I 2010 fikk hun Screen Actors Guild Award og ble beæret med en livstidspris. I 2010 ble hun tildelt Associated Press' pris: Årets underholder.
