Snøbarna er en norsk TV-serie for barn, skapt av TV 2 og produsert i samarbeid med det engelske Winchester Television.[1][2] Serien ble først sendt på TV 2 i 2001.[trenger referanse]
Handlingen i Snøbarna skjer på et fiktivt sted som heter Snøtopia.[2]
Snøbarna er filmet ved Nydalen TV-Studios i Oslo, og produsenter for serien er norske Petter Wallace og britiske Russel Jarman-Price.[2] Serien har ifølge Jarman-Price, som også er manusforfatter, tatt inspirasjon fra «eskimoer, nordamerikansk [urbefolkning], aztekere og japanere.», og hevder at «Snøtopia» ikke skal være et sted i Norge.[2] Simon Spencer var regissør av serien.[2]
Serien er det andre helnorske programmet fra TV 2 for barn og unge, etter Virre Virre Vapp.[2]
TV 2 skal ha brukt mellom 20 og 30 millioner kroner på 52 episoder av programmet.[2]
