Kurt Angle er olympisk mester i amatørbryting fra Atlanta i 1996 .
Han begynte senere med fribryting (wrestling) og gjorde stor suksess i det amerikanske forbundet World Wrestling Entertainment hvor han har vært WWE Champion fire ganger og WCW World Heavyweight Champion og World Heavyweight Champion en gang, og er den eneste som har holdt disse tre titlene.
