Institut d'Estudis Catalans (IEC, Institutt for katalanske studier) er en akademisk institusjon med beliggenhet i Barcelona. Instituttets filologiske avdeling setter standardene for det katalanske språket i Catalonia, Valencia-regionen og Balearene.
Instituttet ble grunnlagt 18. juni 1918 av Enric Prat de la Riba. Dagens president er Salvador Giner, som ble valgt for fire år i juni 2006.
