Båtsfjord er et tettsted og administrasjonssenteret i Båtsfjord kommune. Tettstedet ligger ved botnen av Båtsfjorden og har 2 105[1] innbyggere per 1. januar 2023.

Båtsfjord har flyplass og hurtigruteanløp. Her ligger også Båtsfjord kirke. Det meste av bosetningen i kommunen er konsentrert til tettstedet.[2]
Hovednæringer i Båtsfjord er fiske og fiskeindustri. Båtsfjord er sammen med Hammerfest Norges største fiskevær når det gjelder ilandført kvantum. Kaia har 7000 skipsanløp årlig. Her finnes sju fiskeforedlingsbedrifter, blant annet filetfabrikker med fryserier, og rekefabrikker. Ingen andre steder produserer like mye lodderogn og konsumlodde som Båtsfjord. Også havbruk har blitt en viktig næring. Ellers er her flere mindre verksteder for fiskeflåten.
Tettstedet Båtsfjord fikk bare mindre skader under andre verdenskrig, og fungerte som forsyningsbase for det befridde Finnmark etter tyskernes tilbaketrekning 1944.[2]
