നിസാരി ഇസ്മൈലി മതത്തിലെ 48-ാമത്തെ ഇമാമും മുസ്ലിം ലീഗിൻറെ സ്ഥാപക നേതാക്കളിലൊരാളുമായിരുന്നു ആഗാ ഖാൻ.സർ സുൽത്താൻ മുഹമ്മദ്ഷാ ആഗാ ഖാൻ lll എന്നാണു മുഴുവൻ പേര് ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് ഇന്ത്യയിലെ കറാച്ചിയിൽ 1877 നവംബർ 2 നു ജനനം. മതപഠനവും പാശ്ചാത്യ പഠനവും ഒരുപോലെ നേടി.പ്രസിദ്ധമായ Eton, Cambridge യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റികളിൽ ആയിരുന്നു പഠനം.1937-38 ൽ 'ലീഗ് ഓഫ് നാഷൺ' പ്രസിഡന്റ് പദം അലങ്കരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ ഐക്യ രാഷ്ട്രസഭയുടെ മുൻ പതിപ്പാണ് 'ലീഗ് ഓഫ് നാഷൺ'. ചെറു പ്രായത്തിൽ തന്നെ 'ഷിയ ഇസ്മായിലി മുസ്ലിം' വിഭാഗത്തിന്റെ 48- മത്തെ ഇമാമായി. 1957 ജുലൈ 11 നു സ്വിറ്റ്സർലാൻഡിൽ വെച്ചായിരുന്നു അന്ത്യം. ആൾ ഇന്ത്യാ മുസ്ലിംലീഗിന്റെ സ്ഥാപക നേതാക്കളിൽ ഒരാളും ആദ്യ പ്രസിഡന്റും ആഗാ ഖാൻ lll ആയിരുന്നു.
