ഹോമോ ഇറക്റ്റസ്

പ്ലീസ്റ്റോസീൻ ജിയോളജിക്കൽ കാലഘട്ടത്തിലുടനീളം ജീവിച്ചിരുന്ന പുരാതന മനുഷ്യരുടെ ഒരു ഇനമാണ് ഹോമോ ഇറക്റ്റസ് ('നേരുള്ള മനുഷ്യൻ' എന്നർത്ഥം). ഇതിന്റെ ആദ്യകാല ഫോസിൽ തെളിവുകൾ 1.8 ദശലക്ഷം വർഷങ്ങൾക്ക് മുമ്പാണ് 1991 ൽ ജോർജിയയിലെ ഡമാനിസിയിൽ നിന്നും കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. ^[3] കൂടാതെ 2.1 ദശലക്ഷം വർഷങ്ങൾ ഏകദേശം പഴക്കം നിർണയിക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ഫോസിലുകൾ ചൈനയിലെ ലോസ് പീഠഭൂമിയിൽ 2018 കണ്ടെത്തുകയുണ്ടായി. ^[4]
