Stadions tika atklāts 1953. gadā. Līdz 2018. gadam tā nosaukums bija Prištinas pilsētas stadions. 2018. gada 9. jūnijā to nosauca par godu Fadilam Vokri, kas bija futbolists, vēlāk — futbola funkcionārs, Kosovas Futbola federācijas prezidents no 2008. līdz 2018. gadam.[1]
No 2016. līdz 2018. gadam, pateicoties UEFA finansējumam, notika stadiona renovācija. Pirmo spēli pēc tā atjaunošanas Kosovas izlase stadionā aizvadīja 2018. gada 10. septembrī.[2]
