Telepathia[1][2] (a Graecis antiquis τηλε 'procul' + πάθη 'aegritudo') est colloquium mentis, id est facultas imagines, verba, sensus, et affectus animi ad aliud animal mittendi. Telepathia in re rationis scientiae non agnoscitur, sed multi homines eam credunt veram esse. Telepathia saepe in cultura populari invenitur, praecipue in scientia ficta eius generis, in quo animalia extraterrestria ratione praedita et superheroes hanc facultatem habent.
Verbum telepathia a Frederico Gulielmo Henrico Myers, viro erudito, philologo et conditore Societatis Pro Investigatione Psychicá anno 1882 creatum est.
