Sebiș (Hungarice: Borossebes, Germanice Sebesch) oppidum Dacoromanicum in circulo Aradino est. Ad oppidum etiam vici Prunișor, Sălăjeni et Donceni pertinent.

Oppidum Sebiș nomen cepit a nobili Siblesy, qui regionem anno 1227 a rege Hunagrico accepit et hic castellum nomine Dezna condidit. Hoc castellum anno 1241 Mongolis destructum est. Anno 1574 Ottomani castellum iterum deleverunt. Hoc anno Sebiș primo in actis descriptum est. Ad finem saeculi XVII Turci regionem sub dicionem habebant, sed tum Sebiș iterum pars Hungariae fuit. Anno 1918 Sebiș cum tota regione pars Romaniae factum est. Anno 1968 Sebiș oppidum sublatum est.
Anno 2011 hic 5.979 homines vixerunt, inter eos 5.197 Dacoromani, 377 Zingari, 130Hungarici.[1].
