Truro (en inglés) ou Truru (en córnico) é a capital do condado de Cornualla, pertencente a Inglaterra, Reino Unido. Con 20.920 habitantes[1] (2001) é o centro administrativo, de lecer e mercantil deste condado, sendo a súa única cidade.

Está situada nas orelas do río Truro, próxima á súa desembocadura na Canle da Mancha. Destacan nela a súa industria da cerámica, téxtil, madeireira e alimentaria.
O monumento máis destacado de Truro é a súa catedral neogótica, que alcanza unha altitude de 76 metros, que se empezou a construír no 1880 e rematouse no ano 1910, foi construída na localización da antiga St. Mary's Church, consagrada seiscentos anos antes.
A orixe do nome de Truro é incerto. Díxose que derivaba do córnico tri-veru ("tres ríos"), mais referencias como o Oxford and Cambridge Dictionaries of English Place Names rexeitan esta teoría. Tamén o principal experto dos nomes de lugares córnicos, Oliver Padel, no seu libro A popular dictionary of Cornish place-names di que o significado de "tres ríos" non é posíbel.[2]
