Sacrificio

Un sacrificio é unha ofrenda de comida, obxectos ou vidas de animais na honra dun propósito maior, particularmente de deuses ós que se pretende louvar ou congraciar. Malia que o termo sacrificio a miúdo implica unha morte ritual, o termo ofrenda (do latín oblatio) pode referirse a sacrificios de alimentos e artefactos. Para ofrendas de vertedura de líquidos, emprégase o termo libación.
