Geoffrey Roy Rush, nado o 6 de xullo de 1951 en Toowoomba, é un actor australiano.
Rush comezou a actuar na Queensland Theatre Company de Brisbane en 1971, traballando en 17 producións ata o ano 1975 cando foi a París para estudar mimo e pantomima na École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq, de volta a Australia comezou de novo a traballar no QTC, compartindo en 1979 escenario, Waiting for Godot e apartamento con Mel Gibson[1] durante catro meses. En 1981 fixo a súa primeira actuación cinematográfica no filme australiano Hoodwink. En 1996 protagonizou Shine, co que gañou un Óscar ao mellor actor, o primeiro concedido a un actor australiano. Rush é tamén famoso por ter interpretado o capitán Barbossa desde 2002 na serie de filmes Pirates of the Caribbean.
