Katano (jap. 交野市, Katano-shi) on kaupunki Osakan prefektuurissa Japanissa. Se sijaitsee prefektuurin koillisosassa Osakan ja Kioton kaupunkien puolivälissä. Se rajautuu etelässä Osakan prefektuurin Shijōnawaten, lännessä Neyagawan ja pohjoisessa Hirakatan kaupunkeihin sekä idässä Naran prefektuurin Ikoman kaupunkiin. Noin puolet Katanon alueesta on vuoristoa, ja osa siitä kuuluu Kongō-Ikoma-Kisenin puolikansallispuistoon; kaupungin länsi- ja pohjoisosat liittyvät vuorostaan saumattomasti Osakan metropolialueeseen. Amanojoki virtaa kaupungin halki.[4] Katanon pinta-ala on 25,55[1] neliökilometriä ja siellä on 78 261 asukasta (vuonna 2013).[2]

Katanosta tehtiin maaseutukaupunki vuonna 1955 ja kaupunki 3. marraskuuta 1971. Silloin siellä oli noin 30 000 asukasta. Tämän jälkeen Katano on kehittynyt puutarhakaupunkina.[5]
Katanoa palvelevat JR Nishi-Nihonin Katamachi-linja (Gakkentoshi-linja) sekä Keihan-rautateiden Katano-linja.
