Karimabad (urduksi كريم آباد, Karīm Ābād) eli entinen Baltit tai Hunza on kaupunki Pakistanin Gilgit-Baltistanin alueella. Kaupunki oli ennen itsenäisen Hunzan valtion pääkaupunki ja siellä sijaitseva Baltitin linna on Pakistanin aielistalla lisättäväksi Unescon maailmanperintöluetteloon.

Karimabad sijaitsee Pakistanin Gilgit-Baltistanin alueella Karakorumin vuoristossa Hunzan laakson alueella. Gilgit-Baltistan on puolestaan osa Pakistanin hallitsemaa laajempaa ja Intian kanssa kiisteltyä Kashmirin aluetta. Karimabadiin on tieyhteys Gilgitistä.[1]
Karimabad eli alkujaan Hunza ja myöhemmin Baltit[2] oli aikanaan itsenäisen Hunzan valtion pääkaupunki.[3] Kaupungissa sijaitseva Hunzan hallitsijan Baltitin linna on Pakistanin aielistalla Unescon maailmanperintöluetteloon. Sen vanhimmat osat saattavat olla peräisin jo 700-luvulta.[4]
Venäjän kasvavaa vaikutusvaltaa alueella pelänneet britit liittivät Hunzan Brittiläisen Intian alaisuuteen sotaretken jälkeen vuonna 1891.[3] Myöhemmin Intian jaon yhteydessä Hunzasta tuli osa Pakistania ja vuonna 1970 se muutettiin Hunzan piirikunnaksi.[5]
