Gliwice (saks. Gleiwitz) on Sleesian voivodikuntaan kuuluva kaupunki Etelä-Puolassa. Se sijaitsee noin 20 kilometriä Katowicestä länteen. Kaupungin asukasluku oli 184 415 vuonna 2015.[1]

Kaupungissa sijaitsee General Motorsin tehdas, jossa valmistetaan muun muassa Opel Cascadaa.
Jalkapalloilija Lukas Podolski on syntynyt Gliwicessä.
Gliwice mainittiin asiakirjoissa ensimmäistä kertaa 1276. [ ]
Gliwice kuului pitkän ajan historiastaan eri saksalaisvaltioille. Vuosina 1740–1763 käytyjen Sleesien sotien seurauksena Itävalta luovutti Preussille Sleesian alueen, jonka osa Gliwice oli.
Preussin valtakunnassa Gliwice kuului Sleesian provinssiin ja oli myöhemmin osa Saksaa aina toisen maailmansodan loppuun 1945 saakka. 31. elokuuta 1939 saksalainen SS-upseeri Alfred Naujocks sabotoi Gliwicen radiotornin, mistä syytettiin Puolaa.[lähde? ] Kaupungissa toimi lukuisia sotavankiloita toisen maailmansodan aikana. 24. tammikuuta 1945 puna-armeijan joukot valloittivat Gliwicen.
