Alevis on keskkool, kultuurimaja ja raamatukogu. Vaatamisväärsusteks on aastal 1881 valminud katoliku kirik; ka etendatakse seal kahel päeval aastas valge hobuse tantsu.
Asula tekkis XVI sajandi teisel poolel. Küla on esimest korda mainitud aastal 1598. Esimesed teadaolevad omanikud olid Gintatutased, kellele kuulus ka küla juures olev mõis. Jonas Naruševičiuse initsiatiivil ehitati sinna aastal 1600 esimene kirik. Aastal 1623 mainitakse kiriku juures tegutsenud kihelkonnakooli. Hiljem põles kirik maha, aastal 1745 ehitati selle asemele uus. Järgmisel aastal sai Gražiškiai omale turuplatsi, ka hakati seal neli korda aastas pidama laata. Aastal 1781 avati taas kihelkonnakool.[2]
Aastail 1877–1881 ehitati alevisse praegune kirikuhoone. Nõukogude võimu ajal oli Gražiškiai kohaliku kolhoosi keskasula.
