Sylvia Alice Earle (sündinud 30. augustil 1935 New Jerseys Gibbstownis) on Ameerika Ühendriikide okeanograaf, maadeuurija, mitme teose autor ja lektor.

New Jerseys Gibbstownis sündinud Earle kolis 13-aastaselt koos perega Clearwaterisse, kus hakkas tegelema sukeldumisega.[1] Ta on olnud kolm korda abielus[1] ning tal on kolm last.[2]
Haridus
Earle sai teadusbakalaureuse kraadi (BSc) Florida Riiklikust Ülikoolist 1955. aastal ning teadusmagistri (MSc) ja filosoofiadoktori (PhD) kraadi Duke'i Ülikoolist (vastavalt 1956. ja 1966. aastal). Doktoritöö pealkiri oli "Phaeophyta of the Eastern Gulf of Mexico" ("Mehhiko lahe idaosa pruunvetikad"). Ta on saanud 22 akadeemilist ad honorem tiitlit, avaldanud üle 190 teadusliku, tehnilise ja populaarteadusliku publikatsiooni; esinenud loengutega enam kui 80 riigis.[3]
