David George HOGARTH, membro de la Reĝa Geografia Societo (23a de Majo 1862 – 6a de Novembro 1927), konata ankau kiel D. G. Hogarth, estis brita arkeologo kaj fakulo asocia al T. E. Lawrence kaj Arthur Evans. Li estis zorganto de la Muzeo Ashmolean, Oksfordo, el 1909 ĝis sia morto en 1927.[1][2]

Hogarth estis komisiita en la Ŝiparmea Rezervo dum la Unua Mondmilito, kaj servis por la Ŝiparmea Spionservo. Dum 1916, li estis la plenumdirektoro de la Araba Buroo, kaj estis poste respondeca pri la liverado de la nomita mesaĝo Hogarth al Mekko kiel klarigo de la Balfour-deklaro.
Inter 1887 kaj 1907, li veturis al elfosejoj en Kipro, Kreto, Egiptio, Sirio, Meloso kaj Efezo (Templo de Artemiso).[3] En la insulo Kreto, li elfosis en Zakro kaj en la groto Psiĥro. Hogarth estis nomumita direktoro de la Brita Lernejo de Ateno en 1897 kaj okupis tiun postenon ĝis 1900.[4]
