The letter ǥ has a variant with the stroke through the bowl (right), used i.a. in Kiowa.
The letter ǥ also has variants with an open tail.
Prior to 1921, the IPA letter was styled with an open tail bent to the right. Ǥ was replaced by ɣ in 1932.
